Annual INDIA POWER AWARDS are being envisaged as a systematic and
methodical approach to recognize excellence in various activities for
power and energy development. The India Power Awards were
conceptualized, designed and organized jointly by Council of Power
Utilities and KW Conferences Pvt. Ltd. on the occasion of silver jubilee
celebration of CPU in 2008.
The first India Power Awards received encouraging response from
the entire sector and in all, 22 awards in various categories were
presented to acknowledge and highlight excellence and outstanding
contribution to the power and energy sector.

To continually promote excellence in the sector the 2nd INDIA POWER
AWARDS 2009 have been announced and scheduled in conjunction with
Green Power – VI International Conference & Exhibition on 17 November
2009. This event is structured to create synergy and enable national and
international key participants who have convened for the Green Power -
VI conference and exhibition to interact with dignitaries at the INDIA
POWER AWARDS 2009.
